$625! Bright, Cozy Albany Park Studio Apartment--Sublease starting January 1

My second-floor east-facing studio is available to sublet at the end of December. Rent is only $625 with heat included! I've looked around for studios in the past, and this is a steal! It is a tiny unit, though, and maybe about 325 sq ft. The main room, pictured, is about 15' x 11'. There is a hallway and bathroom which adds more space. The lease ends 8/31/21, and can be renewed at that time. I took over a sublease at the same rate in March and renewed a few months later and the rent stayed the same. I can't guarantee that will also be the case, but it seems likely.

I am a painter and also work as a designer from home. I was able to live my life, paint, and work here with some strategic setup. That's why I'm showing the pics with the place decorated. There's a really great nook which is the perfect width for a twin bed. I used a loft bed, as shown, so I'd have the floor space underneath. I eventually removed the chairs under my loft and hung fabric from the front and used the space underneath the bed to store my art supplies. Between that and the front hall closet, there's actually a decent amount of storage. Btw, I had the fridge put in the basement and purchased my own smaller fridge, but that large fridge can come back in. Or, you can buy my fridge, if you're interested. I'd also like to sell the loft bed, my microwave, and a window air conditioning unit. Let me know if you'd like any of that, too.

Location is the corner of Kedzie and Lawrence. It's a secure/locked building two blocks from the Brown Line Kedzie stop, and the buses run off both streets. No laundry in the building, but there are laundromats within two blocks. There are tons of nearby shops and ethnic grocers, which I have loved. Andy's Fruit Market is just a block away, which was my regular grocer, and Harvestime Foods is about a 15 minute walk to the east. And the best part--just a short 10 minute walk to River Park, which is unbelievable! And there's a Divvy station near the Brown Line, too. You could grab a bike and head to the park and bike along the river for eons. I will miss my river walks.

No security deposit or move-in fee. Cats are okay. Tenants pay cooking gas (average $50/mo), electric (average $25-40/mo., depending on air conditioning usage) and own internet.

If interested, text me or call 312-863-1375, and I'll put you in touch with the management company. There's an application to fill out and a $50 fee to run credit, etc. I know they like people to have decent credit and provide proof of income of 3x the rent.
